The fourth grade class at Stapleton Elementary went on a field trip to Sea, Sand and Stars in Orange Beach last Wednesday. The students were quite fascinated with all the fish exhibits in the lobby. During their visit, they learned about fish and how they look, eat and swim. Also, some tips on fishing which whet the appetite of many of the children. There was also a touch tank for the students to pick up some critters as starfish, flounder and sea urchins. The planetarium section of the trip taught the fourth grade course of study on moon phases and students also saw what to look for in the current night sky. Shown in the picture are Haley Johnson, Claire Morton and Sarah Burks who are studying some of the fish on display. The field trip was enjoyed by all and many thanks to the folks at Sea, Sand and Stars for all their hard work.
